Lithium Battery and E-Bike Safety

Huntington Beach Fire Department (HBFD) and Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD) supported the E-bike Safety Clinic held on Saturday, April 29, at Rad Power Bikes located in Pacific City. Fire Inspector Chris Bird provided e-bike riders with valuable information about lithium-ion battery safety. Lithium-ion battery fires have increased throughout the City. E-bikes are powered by lithium-ion batteries that can fail and result in an explosion.
